Mother's Day Out

Today was AW's first day of Mother's Day Out, and I am so proud and thankful to say that we made it through with no tears!!!!! She told me all morning that she didn't want to go to school, but thankfully (and after a few desperate prayers sent up by a nervous mama) had a change of heart and decided she would go. Her teachers were so sweet and welcoming and said she had a great day. It is very fun this year to hear her recount some of the things they did at school including a movie and goldfish for snacks! For a first day surprise I bought her a sit-n-spin at a consignment sale I went to. AW LOVES to pull the cross-eyes on me and say "I see 2 mommies". I don't like that AT ALL. So here is her displaying the look while spinning-pretty classic.

Playing pretend is definitely the new thing and yesterday she decided she was Little Red Riding Hood except we had to go with Little Pink Riding Hood since we didn't have a red jacket. Here she is with her basket of cookies to take to grandma's house and the big bad wolf (little purple sheep) beside her.
